User Reviews

One of the main complaints about the Impressa C5 the inability to increase the temperature; others seem to have no problem with it. Jura recommends preheating the cup with hot water while the coffee is brewing.

Other reviewers say:

The frothXpress is great and I use it only when I am making a few cappucinos. It comes completely apart and cleans easily. Gregory G. Caiazzo “ggenec” Amazon

You have to read the manual before use it if you want hotter coffee just pre warming the cup with the hot water feature, this it takes around 5s… but I’ve never needed to do that and my coffee always as hot as a Starbucks espresso. VP

I have owned every brand out there and I am SOLD on JURA! DEPENDABILITY!!!  Book A. Holic Amazon

It has paid for itself many times over compared to buying coffees at the local Starbucks.  ColoMom

I love espresso but don’t have the time or patience to grind/tamp/brew myself as some people do. Some die hard espresso lovers will laugh at this machine but for me it’s perfect.

The main problem is the shots are just not that great. They tend to be thin with not enough crema, and are consistently sour.  Alexander Devine “sashaman”

The coffee dispenser is not high enough above the tray to fit a travel mug. A 16-ounce coffee cup is about the tallest that will fit. So to fill a travel mug, you have to hold it tilted while the coffee is dispensed …. the coffee is wonderful.  Long Beach Native

Summation

The majority of users were very pleased with the quality of the coffee and the functionality of the machine. On the whole, those that were not happy were looking for something less automatic, where they could be more ‘hands on’ in the preparation of their brew.

Final Thoughts

This is a machine built for busy people who just want to quickly make their coffee without a lot of fuss. It would fit well in the home or small office.

With it’s affordability, accessibility, programability and capacity you get a lot of ‘bang for your buck’, with the Impressa C5.

Breville Espresso Machine BES900xl – Innovative and Ingenious

I have just finished reading some of the espresso coffee forums and have come away feeling a little ‘put-upon’.  In a discussion about the Breville espresso machine bes900xl I was reading comments that Breville doesn’t have a track record with this machine, it ‘only’ has a stainless steel boiler not copper, and some of the parts are just doomed to failure. In fact these comments were made just after the release of the product!  Are these people the ‘espresso snobs’ I keep reading about?

My Personal Saeco Xelsis Review

I had to write a Saeco Xelsis review today to share with you exactly what I think about this digital ID coffee maker. Chances are, if you are reading this review, you have already made up your mind, just as I did, that coffee, espressos, lattes, and other similar drinks just aren’t to be messed around with. This is generally the first thing I taste every day. It gets my motor running, and the last thing I want is to deal with the hassle of making coffee from a machine that only puts out less than amazing drinks. I bet you probably share the same beliefs I do.

Saeco Xelsis Digital ID: More Than a Gimmick

Many people who see the Saeco Xelsis Digital ID coffee maker for the first time think this machine is simply an overpriced gimmick. It is priced over $3,000 and has a digital identification feature that reads your fingerprint to access the pre-programmed functions. If you are like many people out there, you may be thinking that this is a machine that charges you more for an ID feature that doesn’t really add value to your experience. Yet with a five-star rating on Amazon.com, clearly this is a machine that you want to take a closer look at.
